Job title: Postdoctoral Research Fellow
During my PhD in Aachen, Germany I started investigating the role of antimicrobial peptides and adhesion molecule driven immune cell infiltration in NASH development and fibrogenesis. Since then I’m interested in the mechanisms leading to the progression from NAFL to NASH and fibrosis. Since March 2019 I’m a Research Scientist at the Massachusetts General Hospital and together with the MIT I work on the deeper characterization of the global immune cell regulation during NASH development and progression. The aim is to identify new immune modulators as potential drug targets.
